Who Are We?
The graduating class of 2021 has lived though extraordinary historical events in the past year. Covid Class 2021 is a platform for these students' stories, their thoughts about & analysis of the events of this year, the music they listened to & the other media they created & consumed. These courageous, caring & New York-tough students all attend Pace High School, a public school in Lower Manhattan.
The writers and creators are students in David Rohlfing's English 12 class at Pace High School, a public school bordering the neighborhoods of Chinatown and the Lower East Side in New York City. Pace is a college-career prep high school that, unlike too many public schools in NYC, has an intentionally anti-racist admissions policy. Students who attend Pace are from all five boroughs, have diverse racial, ethnic and economic backgrounds, and have a broad range of academic abilities and achievements. |
